This seminar will guide you through troubleshooting HPLC systems and chromatographic issues using a structured workflow. We will share a novel approach to emphasize the importance of system monitoring, as troubleshooting without monitoring is considerably more challenging. After introducing some key concepts and a troubleshooting workflow, we’ll explore practical examples by applying the workflow to failed chromatograms to identify the cause of failure and then use a test cycle to confirm the fix.

Who should attend: Analysts working in regulated environments (eg. GLP, GMP) or in non-regulated environments (eg. R&D) who want to troubleshoot their HPLC systems and chromatographic problems effectively.

Key Learnings:

  1. The importance of routine system monitoring
  2. Using qualification checks to diagnose a failure
  3. Understanding Failure Indicators (HOW the chromatogram failed) vs. Failure Causes (WHY the chromatogram failed)
  4. Using troubleshooting workflows to quickly identify the failure cause
